London, 2014: Two young aspiring English majors at the University of Chicago decided to join a study abroad program in merry olde England. Upon arriving, and traveling to the Prime Meridian at Greenwich (point 0,0 in the longitude system) for a group trip, the two encountered each other for the first time at the center of the known world.
Seeing Erin standing at the top of the green slope, looking out over the city, Jonathan mustered up the courage to talk to her. He thought long and hard about what he could possibly say to catch her attention.
"Hey, doesn't that building look like the power station on the cover of Pink Floyd's Animals record?" Jonathan asked.
"Uh, I don't know, I've never heard that one," Erin replied.
"Oh," said Jonathan. He began the long and laborious process of trying to pull up an image of the album cover on his phone while Erin stood there awkwardly.
This would be the start of a long and loving relationship. And now, they invite each and every one of you to share in their happiness as, TEN YEARS on, they decide to make it official.
